Chapter 2- the use of technology and techniques and styles

Technology can change the way you see something or the impression it gives someone. You can make something very different using technology. The use of technology is used in doll face as they use animation. I think that it makes it more powerful and gets the point across more as you can see it clearly and easily understand what is going on. You don't necessary need to use technology to get a point across or get the audience to understand what you are saying but it dose make some things more effective like Gisele Kerozene, as it uses stop frame animation. This is really effective as it gives the film a very unique look and makes it different from the rest.
Also koynaasqatsi was made in the 80's and that didn't have lots of new technology and still looks amazing and ahead of time. Before there was lots of technology films were still good and effective but the use of technology adds certain things to a film to make it better or visually better for the audience. In the early days of film making they only had black and white and was very simple however they still made film that made the audience think or to get a point across. But i think when new technology comes around it dose look better than the previous and allows film makers to be more imaginative.
